The Celebrate Collection

Joyful colors combine with soft, blended tones in these new pieces that are a celebration of life and the beauty of nature.  It’s been hard to find reasons to celebrate this past year and a half as we all handle the isolation and stress of Covid the best we can.  One reason that I found to celebrate was the transition from the dark, gray days of winter to the spring and summer.  There is something about the transition of the earth from dull and colorless to a riot of growth and color that is hopeful and inspiring to me.  These paintings are a reminder that no matter how dark and difficult things may seem, that there are always more colorful and hopeful days ahead.

I Believe…

That nature is full of immense beauty if you stop and look.

Art has the power to soothe and provide us with an escape.

That play is an essential part of being a grown up.

That there’s beauty surrounding us and growing inside all of us.

Have you ever had a day where you’re running around, stressed out, and then you look at someone or something, (like really look at them like it’s the first time you’ve ever seen them), and you feel this sense of wonder, and awe, that something or someone so absolutely beautiful and amazing is there and a part of your life?

It might be your child, your best friend, a co-worker, or your husband.  Or maybe it’s the buds on the trees that are just beginning to bloom, your pet as they greet you at the door, or that cup of coffee at 2 pm to help you get through the rest of the day.  Those small moments bring you joy and peace, and they ask us to remember what we really value, what’s really important.

We need more of those moments.
